CAD Technician/Project Co-Ordinator

We are currently recruiting a new CAD Technician/Project Co-Ordinator to complement our growing & busy new installation business.


Our growing business requires a permanent CAD technician/Project Co-ordinator to help support our projects teams with:

  • Development of Design
  • Project Specific AutoCAD Drawings
  • Management of Site Co-Ordination prior to starting on site
  • All based from our modern offices in Brentwood

You will responsible for:

  • Cradle to grave responsibility for Project Design in liason with the client design team, strutural engineers and our suppliers
  • Liason of our internal teams to ensure timely production of BoM’s/Schedules for production purposes
  • Managing client expectations of installation/delivery dates
  • Feedback to our Commercial team where there is a deviation requested from quoted specifications

You will have:

  • University education with hands-on experience of AutoCAD (to a proficient level)
  • Good working knowledge of the typical construction of a building superstructure in relation to curtain walling/windows/doors/cladding and steel
  • A technical mind with a natural attitude and aptitude to problem solving
  • An understanding of the commerical impacts of design changes
  • Confidence and willingness to challenge design concepts
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • Experience with site surveying
  • No fear in challenging others to help drive a better solution

We feel the role would suit a recently qualified University graduate, perhaps in Engineering/Product Design, with a good working experience of AutoCAD. Ideally, we would like to see candidates that have perhaps 1-2 years of graduate work experience with hands on experience of construction/technical products.
