Roller Shutters

We can complete PPM Services to a frequency that you require, either by recommendation or by legal requirement.

When we maintain your Roller Shutter we:

  • Isolate Mains and remove all necessary covers
  • Check automatic door operator is accessible Observe doors in operation during general operation mode and identify and record any fault found. Check Condition of roller shutter/folding shutter/concertina shutter/grille/sectional shutter.
  • Isolate Mains and remove all necessary covers if applicable
  • Check electrical wiring to ensure no loose connections and no damage
  • Carry out mechanical checks to moving parts for wear or damage to cabling within the operator unit.
  • Check termination points and cable routing.
  • Check limits are correct and set
  • Check if the shutter has a manual override such as hand chain or crank handle (if applicable)
  • Carry out mechanical checks (when applicable) to moving parts for wear or damage. Provide replacement components for items causing unsafe operation of unit.
  • Check motor is operating correctly (if applicable).
  • Check the barrel tension fittings and fixings.
  • Check if the shutter has a fuseable link if it is a fire rated shutter
  • Check shutter curtain, lathes and guides and end locks
  • Check keyswitch (if applicable), and stop buttons work correctly (if applicable)
  • Ensure the shutter is operating correctly and smoothly.
  • Use grease and lubricants if necessary.
  • Any faults or defects to be rectified on site during visit or if deemed to require further maintenance action, recommendation will be reported to RTJ office to prepare a work quotation for corrective method of work.
  • Provide replacement components for items causing unsafe operation of unit.
  • After work complete, carry out test operation of door and leave in a safe working condition.
